Arts for Learning Connecticut
For over 30 years, Young Audiences of Connecticut has been an essential arts-in-education resource for the state of Connecticut. Each arts program connects directly to the Connecticut State Curriculum and the Creative Arts Learning programs are available for Boys & Girls Clubs, Girl and Boy Scouts, Community Centers. YA Connecticut’s diverse roster of professional teaching and performing artists spread their artistic expertise and inquiry into multiple disciplines to stimulate life-long learning and creativity. Arts-in-education transforms the public’s understanding of the value of the arts as an active and natural part of everyone’s life.
Young Audiences Arts for Learning Connecticut is an Affiliate of VSA, The International Organization on Arts and Disability. A few highlights of CT VSA’s programming are Creative Arts Learning performances, workshops for Elder Learning, and Engaging Teacher Professional Development that connects the arts to classroom learning.
