Young Audiences/Arts for Learning Maryland Presents The Teaching Artist Institute Fair: Engaging Workshops in the Arts

Young Audiences/ Arts for Learning Maryland invites principals, teachers, families, community members, and kids of all ages will enjoy an afternoon of interactive demonstrations with 9 professional teaching artists.

All are welcome! Come out and engage in workshops that will inspire you to bring the arts and the artists into your OWN classrooms! You will be able to select three of these in which to participate:

  • Drew Anderson / Hip Hop Spoof School
  • Maura Dwyer / Visual Art Communicating through Collage
  • Brittany Roger / Visual Art The Drawing Zoo
  • Michael Hartwell / Improv Improving Reading Comprehension with Improv
  • Tori Bertocci / Theatre Empathizing with Billy Shakes
  • Dave LaSalle / Improv Making it Up! Using Improvisation to Master General Content
  • Kerry Holahan / Music Chinese Folksongs: Developing our Musical Ears
  • Cori Daniel / Storytelling Storytelling Without Words
  • Mama Sallah / Pottery Make and Take Elephant

 

Cost: FREE if participants register before March 17. At the door, tickets will be $5.
