Young Audiences of Rochester's Stand Against Racism Event

Young Audiences of Rochester will fight against racial injustice as part of a national movement headed by the YWCA with their second annual event, Cypher's Stand Against RacismThe Cypher provides quality arts experiences for some of the City's most challenged and troubled youth, and integrates gifted and talented low and high achievers, along the creative spectrum. Opportunities are provided for them to be active creators of art and media in after school programs that focus on all arts disciplines, entrepreneurship and career readiness.

Through a collaboration of efforts from Cypher and the Urban Performing Arts Center, Cypher's Stand Against Racism will feature singers, rappers, dancers and poets taking a stand against racism through their various art forms. General admission for the event is $5, $3 for students, and free for children 10 and under. The event will support the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County's leadership's response to the national Stand Against Racism campaign.
