Young Audiences Arts for Learning's Northeast Ohio Affiliate, Center for Arts-Inspired Learning, Seeks President & CEO

February 22, 2021 | [email protected]

Center for Arts-Inspired Learning (CAL) is excited to announce that they are seeking candidates for the position of President & CEO. The successful candidate will lead the region’s most dynamic arts education nonprofit organization, serving tens of thousands of young people annually, guided by their mission: To Ignite student learning, creativity, and success through the arts.

The President & CEO is responsible for leadership, vision, innovation, and strategy, which they will shape in partnership with a diverse and engaged set of stakeholders. The President & CEO represents the organization in the community, reports to a dedicated Board of Directors, supervises a talented staff, and collaborates with program partners. The President & CEO synthesizes a complex and varied array of organizational activities—balancing development, financial, operational, and programmatic responsibilities.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting time for CAL, full of potential to innovate, strengthen, and build from a position of stability. The incoming President & CEO has a significant opportunity to set the strategy for this well-respected organization’s next chapter in partnership with its community of stakeholders, its staff, and its Board of Directors.

The Inspiration Center in University Circle, and Studio 105, located at the Glenville arts campus, provide arts-infused community programs directly to children.  The recent development of these two creative spaces has built an excellent foundation for the expansion of current program offerings designed to reach the youth of the communities that CAL serves.

CAL is well-positioned to weather the challenges posed by the pandemic. The staff and roster of teaching artists have adapted to continue serving students, educators, and artists throughout this public health crisis when their services are needed more than ever. As the community emerges from this challenging time, CAL is poised to continue to improve, refine, and focus existing programs, brand, and systems, while also considering expansion of advocacy and services to meet the needs of Northeast Ohio.

The President & CEO provides full oversight of all aspects of the organization, including strategy, fundraising, finance, administration, human resources, branding and marketing, community engagement, operations, programs, community activities, and shaping the organizational structure.
