YA's Chicago Affiliate, CAPE, Announces Commitment To Compensate Teaching Artists During Coronavirus Shutdown
Our Chicago affiliate just announced their extraordinary commitment to pay hourly CAPE teaching artists 75% of their teaching rate in compensation for their loss of instructional time during the coronavirus school shutdown. In recognition if the essential role that teaching artist play in carrying out the organization’s mission, CAPE has committed almost $100,000 from its organizational reserve fund to support their teaching artists through the end of this school year.
Young Audiences Arts for Learning’s 2019 Gala, honoring Joel Marsh Garland, was held on Tuesday, October 29th at The Mandarin Oriental New York. Thanks to our generous guests and gala donors, we raised meaningful funding to support innovative arts learning programs that raise academic and artistic achievement, while building skills for success in curricular endeavors, creative pursuits, and life itself. Young Audiences to Provide Project Management, Communications Support to SEADAE as Part of New Agreement
SEADAE and Young Audiences announced that they have entered into an agreement under which Young Audiences will provide communications, data collection, technology, daily operations, and project management support services to SEADAE.
The YA Network will celebrate YA Week April 14-27, 2019, to raise awareness and support for arts-in-education. An annual advocacy and awareness initiative first championed by Conductor Leonard Bernstein in 1971, YA Week has grown into a two-week celebration of arts-in-education observed each spring by the YA Network, leaders in the field, and individual supporters.
