ArtWorks Apprentices Showcase Their Original Art

This summer, 29 high school students from the City of Buffalo participated in Young Audiences of Western NY's ArtWorks Apprenticeship Program. The program's paid apprenticeships offer students the chance to work alongside Master Teaching Artists in Visual Arts, Media Arts, and Book Arts in a high-intensity workplace environment.

Over the past weeks, these students have been creating high quality art, learning about future education opportunities, developing the skills they need to become creative and innovative participants in the workforce, and gaining valuable experience transferable to any future career.

On August 12 at 3pm, the ArtWorks Apprentices will hold a Gallery Exhibition and Showcase as a culmination of their hard work: Head to the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library to meet these 29 talented students and admire their imaginatively curated exhibit of original art.
