A4L San Diego Presents Dog Days of Summer!

Horton Plaza Park and Arts for Learning San Diego are providing another fun, art-filled event with fantastic performances and hands-on visual arts programming as well as dog-friendly fun for families and residents to enjoy in the Park. Why? Horton Plaza Park is committed to creating fabulous ways to draw people to their park and participate in events. This time, arts education non-profit, Arts for Learning San Diego and Horton Plaza Park have created an event not to be missed by families or their dogs!

 

The Dog Days of Summer is Sunday, August 6th, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event will take place at Horton Plaza Park, located at 900 Fourth Ave, San Diego, CA 92101. Starting around 11am, the Rob Thorsen Jazz Quartet will be first up on the stage.  As one of Arts for Learning San Diego’s long-standing professional performing artists, Thorsen and his Quartet bring a lively groove and are a crowd pleaser. Thorsen is a distinguished bassist, composer, and educator. We encourage you to come early, find your spot and settle into the Amphitheater of the Park.  

Event Schedule:

11am – 1pm – Ongoing Hands-on art and park activities and info booths

11am - 12:30pm – Performances; Rob Thorsen Jazz Quartet and The 3 US Veterans and PGK

12:30pm - Dog Costume Contest

12:50pm – Dog Costume Contest Winners and Raffle

1pm – Event ends

2:30pm - Horton Plaza Park Kids Park Activities ends
