2014 Houston Arts Partners Conference- The Global Classroom: Cultures and Communities

The Houston Arts Partners Conference, now in its fourth year, combines inspiring arguments for the power of the arts from national arts-in-education leaders with dynamic, innovative, interactive, evidence-based, and fun presentations on how the fine arts can supply tools to teachers of core foundation subjects. The Houston Arts Partners conference has galvanized the Houston arts community, educators, and district administrators. With their fourth annual conference in 2014, they anticipate hosting over 700 educators and administrators from around Texas. This conference was organized by Young Audiences of Houston Arts for Learning.
This year, the overarching topic will be "The Global Classroom" and what an ever evolving classroom spurred on by technology and other advancing factors will mean for teachers and other educators worldwide. The featured speakers for the 2014 conference will be arts consultant and founder of Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education Nick Rabkin, and Professor of Art Education and Teaching and Leadership at Syracuse University, James Haywood Rolling Jr.
