Young Audiences of Virginia Hosts The Arts Matter: A Creativity Festival

On Saturday, May 7, Young Audiences of Virginia hosted The Arts Matter: A Creativity Festival to celebrate arts education and provide opportunities for children, teens, and lifelong learners to explore arts connections in education and the community.

The festival included amazing performances by Hampton Roads' dance, rock, and pop cover band, Kaboombox, as well as African Dancing and Storytelling, Puppet Theatre, a Magic Show, and much more!

For those who wished to stretch their creative brains, YAV partnered with community vendors to provide a host of family-friendly arts activities for children of all ages!

The Arts Matter: A Creativity Festival was sponsored by Parks, Recreation and Tourism of Chesapeake, Virginia, The Helen G. Gifford Foundation, Wall Einhorn & Chernitzer P.C., TowneBank, and Matthew and Karen Fine.
