Three Young Audiences Affiliates Awarded National Endowment for the Arts Grants

In its first major grant announcement of fiscal year 2020, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has named the recipients of federal funding for arts projects. Included in the NEA’s announcement are three Young Audiences affiliates, who received Art Works grants ranging from $35,000 to $75,000.

Young Audiences of Oregon & SW Washington was awarded $35,000 to support its Teaching Artist Studio, a professional development program for teaching artists.

Young Audiences of Houston was awarded $50,000 to support its Arts for Learning Lab, a professional development pipeline for classroom teachers and teaching artists.

Young Audiences of Maryland was awarded $75,000 to support an arts integration professional development program for teachers.

As the NEA’s principal grantmaking program, Art Works grants are awarded to organizations across the nation whose artistic projects meet the highest standards of excellence, support learning in the arts at all stages of life, and encourage the integration of the arts into the fabric of community life.
