Join Us In Celebrating National Arts In Education Week

Young Audiences Arts for Learning is excited to join forces with our national network and the field-at-large to celebrate National Arts in Education Week, September 13-19, 2020!

House Resolution 275, passed by Congress in 2010, designates the second week in September as National Arts in Education Week, a time to tell the story of how the arts have impacted and enriched our nation's schools. The celebration is designated to bring attention to this cause for elected officials and educational decision makers across the country and to support equitable access to the arts for all students.

Want to join the celebration? Here are some ways you can help shine a light on the importance of arts in education for all:

Add your voice to the unified statement, Arts Education Is Essential, on the importance of arts in education for schools and students during COVID-19.

Help spread the word on social media about #ArtsEdWeek. Share an inspiring #BecauseOfArtsEd story with your friends, family, and followers.

Advocate by communicating to local leaders and decionmakers why arts in education is so important in your community. Ask local officials to pass a resolution of support or submit an op-ed for publication in your local newspaper.
