Announcing Young Audiences of Massachusetts' New Executive Director Julie McConchie

Young Audiences Arts for Learning would like to welcome Julie McConchie to the YA Network. Ms. McConchie will be serving as the new Executive Director of Young Audiences of Massachusetts. Julie McConchie joins Young Audiences of Massachusetts with over twenty years of experience in non-profit administration, marketing and event planning. She has served as the Executive Director of the North of Boston Convention and Visitor's Bureau from 2001-2011, where she developed a nationally recognized cultural tourism program featuring an award winning website and thematic programming which linked the 34 cities and towns in Essex County.

While working at the Museum of Science, Ms. McConchie was recognized by The Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau for her vital work in bringing highly successful exhibits and programming such as "Leonardo da Vinci: Scientist, Inventor, Artist" to Boston.

Julie currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Actor's Studio of Newburyport where she spearheaded "Dear World/Dear Newburyport", a visual art project designed to engage the Newburyport community in a conversation about what matters most to them, to shine light on individuals, build community, and invite full expression from the towns citizens.
