Program Director Lisa Muci Awarded Prestigious Sphinx MPower Artist Grant

We would like to congratulate Lisa Muci, the Program Director of Arts Partners, Wichita (the Young Audiences Arts for Learning affiliate in Kansas). Lisa Muci was awarded a Sphinx MPower Artist Grant. She is an alumna of the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra and she will use the grant to attend the  Harvard Graduate School of Education Project Zero Classroom.

The Project Zero Classroom (PZC) is designed to help educators create classrooms, instructional materials, and out-of-school learning environments that promote students' efforts to understand important content; recognize and develop students' multiple intellectual strengths; encourage students to think critically and creatively; and assess student work in ways that further the learning. In addition to Kindergarten through Grade 12 educators and administrators, we encourage pre-school teachers, teacher educators, and museum educators to attend.

The MPower Artist Grants were launched to empower alumni of the Sphinx Competition, Sphinx Symphony, Sphinx Virtuosi, Sphinx Performance Academy and Sphinx Medals of Excellence (years 2012 and 2013 only) to achieve their career objectives in classical music through granting competitive scholarships. Sphinx is honored to help transform so many careers through the MPower Artist Grant.
